About UPFRONT
UPFRONT is an organisation on a mission to change confidence, visibility and power for 10 million women. We do this in three ways - courses (we call these Bonds), community (we call this UPFRONT Global) and content (keynotes, social media and our weekly newsletters)
Our Bonds have supported over 17,000 women from over 50 countries with clients like Just Eat Takeaway, Pleo, Onfido, NHS, Nike, Ofgem and Citizens Advice.
We’re looking to hire a high energy, enthusiastic and driven Sales Lead to join our team.
The Role
You will report to our CEO and Founder, Lauren Currie, and work most closely with our Sales Development Representative, to find and close deals. Your role sits at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and product development and is focused on client acquisition, activation, retention, and upsell.
This role is focused on UPFRONT’s B2B partners and clients. Together with our SDR, you’ll be responsible for managing our B2B funnel. Your success will be measured on the number of B2B client partnerships and Bonds secured (we expect you to secure 3 new partnerships in the first 6-8 months. Our average sales cycle is 50-60 days. The average contract value is £20k)
You will build relationships with leaders, teams and c-suites who need UPFRONT to solve problems in their organisation. These are typically C-suite leaders, HR Directors or learning partners.
What we're looking for
- Someone who’s excited by the opportunity to support our Founder to build a sales function rooted in impact, growth and purpose
- Someone to support our Founder to develop strategic partnership frameworks, negotiating sponsorship agreements and co-creating joint proposals with clients/partners
- You have a qualification or solid experience in Sales or related field
- You have prior experience in a similar role with a solid track record of sales
- You are excellent as using marketing automation platforms and CRM (eg. Hubspot, Active Campaign)
- You have a proven track record in building good client relationships and meeting/exceeding sales targets
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You are results-driven, tenacious and a strong team player
- On your own time, you are actively engaging in meaningful conversations around feminism and equality. You are socially-minded and not afraid to get political. You are dedicated to being anti-racist and believe wholeheartedly in intersectional gender equity.
- You're familiar with the tools and apps we use daily: Slack, Notion and G Suite.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and activities running concurrently
- You have a can-do, positive, passionate attitude and are comfortable with risk-taking
- You have high energy and thrive working remotely with a small distributed team
How you’ll spend your time
- Closing deals (as well as passing qualified leads to the Founder with the objective of closing the sale)
- Having conversations with potential clients, writing proposals and following up
- In person meetings and pitches in London (if your location allows)
- Emailing communication, lead prequalification and call scheduling
- Taking notes during sales calls and summarize them in our lead generation database, Hubspot
- Handling incoming queries and building good client relationships
- Ensuring all leads are well qualified by identifying the correct decision makers and understanding their requirements
- Schedule appointments, and demos and introduce leads to their new point of contact
- Achieving weekly/monthly targets as set out by the business
The most important factor is alignment with our values and willingness to join us on our mission and lead the sales function. If you do not meet 100% of the criteria but believe you can deliver in this role, we are still open to receiving your application.
