The Format

We set aside 60 minutes for recording and the podcast episode itself will be 30-45 minutes in total.

All interviews are recorded remotely with Zoom via a link we’ll email to you beforehand and we’ll capture video along with audio to create visual clips of your conversation for social media.

The week before your conversation, I'll be in touch with a guide of questions and topics so you can get an idea of the flow of conversation Lauren would like to cover.

All you need is:
  • An internet-ready device (laptop, cell phone, tablet) with a strong connection
  • A quiet place free of interruptions or distractions with minimal background noise and echo, ee recommend recording indoors to avoid ambient noise
  • Headphones (preferably wired) to maintain sound quality - though please also be wary of wearing necklaces or other accessories that may jangle against them and affect the mic
  • Connect and test headphones and microphone beforehand
  • Close all other tabs or programmes and switch off all audible notifications
  • Open the Zoom invitation we’ll have sent you
  • Best practices suggestions before the recording session, e.g. sit in a room with a lot of soft furnishings/minimal echo, wear headphones, try to sit within 20-30cm of their mic, turn off phones/AC/fridges and any other apps on their computer that might be using the internet - these can all help a lot in improving your sound
  • An iPhone to record your audio as a back up

What happens after we record

We’ll get right onto editing the episode and scheduling it for launch. We release our episodes on a weekly basis so we’ll give you the heads up on when yours is due to go live (eeek, exciting!).We’ll also send you links to your episode and social media assets to use across your preferred platforms. We’d love for you to share and promote the episode through your social channels, newsletters and communities. It’s great to get it in front of as many people as we can so we can all learn from and be inspired by each other.
